Data Protection Declaration

Data Protection

As the site operator the Hans Peter Zimmer Foundation takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with both the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Where data is collected on our site (for example name, address, or email addresses), this is on a voluntary basis where possible. This information will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.

Please note there may be security risks when data is transmitted over the Internet (for example, when communicating by email). It is not possible to completely protect data from access by a third party.
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called “server log files,” which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:
Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Host name of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
This data can not be traced to a specific person, and will not be merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively, if we become aware of concrete evidence of illegal use.

Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided, will be stored in order to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.

Newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter mentioned on our website, we require your email address, information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of this email address, and that your consent to receive the newsletter.
No further data is collected. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The consent given for the storage of the data, the email address, and their use for sending the newsletter can be revoked at any time, for example via the “Cancel Newsletter Subscription” link in the newsletter menu.

Facebook plugins (like button)

Our site features integrated plugins from the social network Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park; California 94025, USA. The Facebook plugins can be recognized by the Facebook logo or the “Like Button” (“Like”) on our site. An overview of these Facebook plugins can be found here:
developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

When you visit our pages, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “Like” button while logged in to your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our site to your Facebook profile. As a result, Facebook can trace your visit to our site. We would like to point out that we as the site provider have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted and its use by Facebook. Facebook’s privacy policy can be found here: www.facebook.com/policy.php
If you do not wish Facebook to trace your visit to our site through your Facebook account, please log out of your Facebook account.

Google+
Our pages use features from Google+, provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Collecting and sharing of information: You can share information worldwide with the Google+ button. The Google+ button allows you and other users to receive personalized content from Google and our partners. Google stores both the information that you + 1'd for content and information about the site you viewed when you clicked +1. Your + 1's may be shown along with your profile name and photo on Google’s services, such as in search results or in your Google profile, or on other websites and online advertisements.

Google collects information about your +1 activities to improve Google's services to you and others. To use the Google + button, you need a Google profile that is public and visible to everyone and must contain the name chosen for the profile at a minimum.  This name will be used across all Google services. In some cases, this name may also replace a different name you used when sharing content through your Google Account. The identity of your Google Profile may be displayed to users who know your email address or other identifying information about you.

Use of Information Collected: In addition to the purposes outlined above, the information you provide will be used in accordance with the current Google data protection regulations. Google may publish summarized statistics about users' +1 activities or pass them on to users and partners, such as publishers, advertisers, or affiliated websites.

Right to access, delete, or block information
At any time you have the right, free of charge, to access information about your stored personal data; its origin and recipient; the purposes of the data processing; and the right to correct, block, or delete this data. For further information about personal data, please contact the Hans Peter Zimmer Foundation at any time at the address given in the legal notice.
